  • What Is the Guarantee and Deposit Policy?

    All reservations require credit card guarantee due at time of booking. The guest will be charged a prepayment of the cost of the first night within 1 day before arrival.

  • What Are Your Parking Options?

    The hotel only offers valet parking. Valet parking fee is $49 plus tax, per night, with in and out privileges. Self-parking is available at the Shops at Rivercenter and other nearby parking garages, pricing will vary.

  • What Is the Check-In/Check-Out Time?

    Guests can begin checking in at 4 p.m. and can check out any time before 11 a.m. Early check-in and late check-out can be accommodated upon request, based on availability. A fee of $75 will be accessed for early check-in and/or late check-out. You must be at least 21 years of age to check in to the hotel.

  • Does Your Property Offer Housekeeping Service?

    Daily housekeeping service is available upon request.

  • Does Your Property Allow Pets?

    The hotel does not allow pets.

  • Do Your Guest Rooms Have a Refrigerator And/or a Microwave?

    Each room is enhanced with a mini fridge. Microwaves are not available to be placed inside guest rooms, however, there is one microwave available in the vending section of the 2nd floor.

  • Can a Specific Room Number or Room Placement Be Guaranteed?

    Specific room numbers and room placement (section of the hotel) cannot be guaranteed but may be requested based on availability and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • What Are the Pool Hours?

    Our property is home to San Antonio’s largest outdoor pool, which guests can enjoy daily from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. The pool is seasonally heated from December through February.

  • what Are the Fitness Center Hours and What Type of Equipment Is Available?

    The Fitness Center is open 24 hours at the Menger. The Fitness Center offers an array of cardio equipment with a fitness bike, an elliptical, a few treadmills, and a barbell weight set.

  • What Are the Menger Bar Hours? Do You Have a Happy Hour?

    The Menger Bar is open Sunday through Thursday from Noon – 11 p.m. and Friday & Saturday from Noon to Midnight. Sunday from noon-10 p.m.. While the bar does not offer a Happy Hour menu, we invite you to try one of our seasonal craft cocktails. Visit the Menger Bar page to find out additional information.

  • What Are the Colonial Room Hours and How Can a Reservation Be Made?

    The Colonial Room Restaurant is open daily from 6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Reservations may be made by calling the restaurant directly at (210) 225-6196. Check out the Colonial Room Restaurant page to discover additional details including menus and featured dishes.

  • How Much Is the Menger's Hotel Tax?

    Hotel Occupancy Tax is 16.75% and we will collect a 1.25% San Antonio Tourism PID (Public Improvement District) fee. This will apply to each taxable room night sold effective January 1st, 2019

  • Is Smoking Allowed on Property?

    This is a 100% SMOKE FREE PROPERTY. This includes E-Cigarettes and Vaping. A USD $250.00 fine will be assessed for guests found smoking where prohibited including but not limited to guest rooms, balconies, and public areas. The fine will also be assessed to any room where smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes have been used.

  • Is the Guest Charged a Hotel Incidental Deposit?

    Yes, a credit card deposit of $75.00 is required at check-in. Deposit is refundable to credit card at check-out if no other charges apply.

  • What Is the Hotel Gun Policy?

    PURSUANT TO SECTION 30.07, PENAL CODE, A PERSON LICENSED UNDER SUBCHAPTER H, CHAPTER 411, GOVERNMENT CODE MAY NOT ENTER THIS PROPERTY WITH A HANDGUN THAT IS CATTIED OPENLY.

Weddings

  • Do I Have to Rent Sleeping Rooms to Have My Wedding at The Menger Hotel?

    We accommodate receptions without sleeping rooms provided. If you request a special guest room rate, we do require a minimum of 10 guest rooms. Special rate is subject to availability.

  • Do You Have an Outdoor Ceremony Location?

    Yes, we have a Garden courtyard. This area can hold as many as 40 guests. If your event is scheduled for outdoors, a back-up space will be assigned at the time of the booking and will be utilized upon the final decision of the Banquet Manager.

  • What Is Included in The Catering Minimum?

    Any Food & Beverage items (i.e. hors d’oeuvres, salad, entrée, dessert/cake cutting and bar service) are applied towards the minimum. Tax and service fee are additional. A service charge of 20% will be added to all food prices and all hosted beverage prices. All food charges, including the service charge, are subject to Texas State Sales Tax.

  • When Do I Submit My Final Number of Guests?

    The Catering department must be informed of your guaranteed number of guests 72 hours prior to the event. After this time, your guarantee may be raised but not reduced. If a final guarantee is not provided within the 72-hour deadline, the estimated number of guests will represent the guarantee and will be charged accordingly. Our advance preparation is 5% over the guarantee.

  • What Is Your Deposit/cancellation Policy?

    To guarantee a date we require a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of $1,000 at the time of booking. The cancellation penalty amount is a calculated percentage based on the anticipated revenue from the banquet/meeting function. Refer to agreement for additional details on cancellation policy.

  • Where Do Wedding Guests Park?

    Valet parking is available to hotel registered guests at $28/vehicle/night charge for overnight. Event only valet parking is available on a first come first served basis for $20 per vehicle plus tax. There are many public parking lots within a short walking distance of the hotel. Please feel free to discuss the parking needs for your function with your catering manager. All hotel parking is based upon availability. Note: There is limited free parking in downtown San Antonio.
